Olamide Agboola
Youth Worker and CFS Worker

I was born in the North but raised in the South western part of Nigeria in Africa. I hold the 6th position out of 9 children born of the same parents. I am married to a loving and God-fearing husband and blessed with 4 beautiful children of which 3 are here with us and the 4th is with our Most Gracious Father in Heaven.

I grew up in a Christian home and was taught Godly values. Life is full of ups and downs and I have learnt  to trust in God through it all. Prov. 3: 5-6 says,

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.”

This scripture continues to give me confidence and Hope in God knowing that He has my back, I do not need to worry about anything but only trust in Him.

I served as a Chapel administrator and Youth coordinator, Peer Educator Trainer for teenagers and children Sunday school Teacher in Rhema Chapel Int’l Churches, Government Girl’s college and Daystar Christian Center House fellowship all in Nigeria, respectively.

I have Bachelor of Technology degree in Accounting, worked as an Audit assistant, Financial controller in real estate. I resigned to take a bold step as an Entrepreneur, to startup a Laundry and Dry-cleaning business which I ran successfully for 3 years before I came into Canada. I am organized, enjoy cooking and always excited to learn new things. “ I believe when you stop learning, you stop growing”.

I started worshiping with The Salvation Army York community church in October 2019 and it  has been an awesome experience of Love, support, career, and spiritual growth till date.  I worked as their year 2020 Christmas Toy Distribution Co-ordinator and now hired as their CFS and Youth worker. This church is indeed all in one and home for me!
